Junior Level Support Analyst – Edinburgh
Harvey Nash are currently representing a luxury retailer who are looking for a talented Junior Level Support Analyst to join their growing technology function.
Last year was another extremely successful year for our client, as they continued to grow as a business, despite many retailers experiencing some of their worst revenues. One of the reasons that this happened is because Technology and the digital ecosystem has long been part of my client's core strategy for growth coupled with the fact that their products target a niche but loyal international customer base. Investment in technology has been significant in the last 5 years, leaving them in a strong position.
The role:
You will be providing 1st and 2nd Line support and triage to end users via telephone, email etc.
Supporting end user hardware / software – Desktop and Laptop PCs running Windows 8.1 / 10; Apple Macs and other applications. Troubleshoot incidents on Windows servers and other critical infrastructure. Creating and managing user accounts in various systems. Carrying out agreed operational checks and procedures. Actively assisting in the delivery of departmental projects. Contributing to creating and maintaining the IT Knowledge Base articles. As part of this role you will be covering a 40 hour shift covering Monday-Sunday 7am-7pm (4 days on 4 days off).
About you:
Our client is ideally looking for someone educated to HND/Degree level in Computing / IT. You must be motivated to take on responsibility, with the willingness to learn from others as well as self-study. Always interested in good communitive and organisational skills. Your time management must be precise – remaining calm while delivering against stringent deadlines. Also having previous experience with epos systems, windows serves and such.
