Our partner client, GL Education are embarking on a transformation programme reshaping and right sizing their core technology platforms using cutting edge technology to enable the business to scale and offer a more flexible service the global market. Working as part of the Senior Leadership team, reporting into the CTO- this is a critical role to success of the technology road map.
We are seeking an individual who is not only passionate about data, but someone who sees the value is creating key insight and the competitive advantage gained from data assets This is a hugely exciting time to work in Big Data, making data sources available to customers, enabling them to help their customers and truly understand learning needs whilst delivering differentiated customer experiences. We are looking for an analytically minded Data Architect to shape the future of the data and anlytics platform, whilst deleivering new data assets to customers, using Cloud technologies and all of this while thinking about the safety and security of data
Who you will be
* You’ll be an analytical and strategic thinker who will inspire and work collaboratively with an awesome team of Delivery Managers, Technical Leads and Engineers.
* You’ll easily build positive and effective relationships across the business whilst playing a key role in activities that develop the performance.
* Aligning the customer journey to a common data and analytics platform for the core operations.
* The platform will be cloud based and as such you need strong and demonstrable knowledge of managing data assets, cloud based analytics, data warehousing principles, big data/NoSQL alternatives, cloud commercials and experience of on premise to Cloud based migrations of critical data assets.
* A strong understanding of cloud security, BI, information Management, and Risk & Governance is a must.
* You’ll be comfortable presenting and communicating to a broad range of stakeholders from senior executives to technical experts.
* Gaining insight from data (structured or unstructured), whether that be warehouses, data lake, ODS, MI/BI/next gen Analytics, to drive digital transformation. More about you
* An analytical and strategic thinker that can align data and analytics to customers and corporate strategy * Strong experience of architecting large enterprise data and analytics solutions
* A expert in cloud based data and analytics; especially MS Azure Products, e.g. Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Data Factory, Databricks, Stream Analytics, Analysis Services, Power BI etc.
* Data modelling, data shaping, data preparation and data visualisation tools
* Technology evaluation and selection
* Mentoring and technology leadership of research and development teams
