Data Platform Architect, Solihull, £59,000 - £79,000 pa + benefits
My reputable client is looking for Data Platform Architect to join a forward-thinking company that places data at the core of its business on permanent basis.
Role Accountabilities:
* Develop platform roadmaps that support the maintenance and enhancement of the technical platforms that are part of` the client’s data eco-system.
* Partner with architecture areas across CIO to form a virtual community under the banner of the Chief Architect; ensuring that data strategy and data product development is in line with Enterprise Architectural standards.
* Manage the vendor relationships for technical products related to the data platform to ensure return on investment and minimise total cost of ownership.
* Identify and govern the use of data and reporting products removing functional duplication across the technology landscape.
* Manage the evolution of a cross functional Data Governance Framework that ensures the organisation demonstrably operates within its regulatory obligations for data usage including GDPR and the Uniform Network Code.
* Ensure that all data related products and service development complies with our regulatory framework.
* Undertake the identification and analysis of potential external data sources that could be integrated into the existing data landscape
* Contribute to the development of the Sourcing Strategy for the platforms
Skills required:
* Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience.
* Experience in defining and implementing data strategies
* Architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF 9.0 or similar)
* Experience in defining and implementing Cloud based platforms.
* SAP and Microsoft Enterprise Software experience would be beneficial
