Data Protection Compliance Analyst – 12 Month FTC – South Manchester
Are you looking for a new exciting challenge?
My client is looking for a Data Protection Analyst to join their team with the purpose to deliver a privacy strategy and compliance program, to have appropriate measure and governance is place to meet with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR).
Reporting in to the Data protection officer, this role will be on a 12 month fixed term contract basis with the opportunity to turn permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on the implementation of tools to automate and maintain the documentation required for records of processing in line with GDPR requirements.
- Lead on the development of the Data Protection Impact Assessment process and support the Group in the completion of those assessments.
- Support the maintenance of all the Data Protection policies and standards identifying where updates are required due to a change in process, change in the regulation or legislation, new guidance or codes of conduct being published or case law.
- Drive the documentation, approval, and data policies, standards, and processes relating to the accountability requirements. Provide training and support to all area of the business to meet those requirements. Ensure best practice and compliance with all the Information Commissioners Guidance identifying the need for changes in policy or process to meet compliance.
- Assist in the investigation of any personal data breaches where identified or reported. Advise on mitigations and support on the delivery of the actions. Ensure that the personal data breach log is complete.
- Assess, log and investigate complaints concerning non-compliance.
- Support with activities required to obtain and maintain ISO27001 certification.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrate excellent and effective communication skills with all stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines
- Proven track record and experience in developing data protection policies, procedures and training and awareness content.
- Ability to communicate with data subjects concerning their rights and to resolve complaints.
- Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
