Senior JavaScript Developer - AWS - Node - React
Harvey Nash are working exclusively with a multi-faceted media business who are looking to recruit 2 Senior Javascript Developers to work on their Greenfield platform. Its a start-up organisation with strong financial investment gained and a strategic board in place.
This is a truly unique opportunity to work with a business which merges Art, Creativity with a leading Fashion product and is involved with Global Industry Awards, Platform & App Creation, along with future filming plans.
The role will initially be remote, but as the world returns to a new normal in coming months, there could be the opportunity to blend remote working with some work out of Central Manchester offices.
This is an opportunity to join a new company setting up a greenfield project within an exciting industry. The initial team will be small so you’ll be expected to contribute in setting up the initial development processes and architecture.
The processes and architecture that will need consideration are testing, logging and deployment. This is a great opportunity for somebody to put their own stamp on a development team and do things the way they want from day 1.
The ideal candidate will have proven commercial experience working within an agile environment delivering apps and PWA with a microservice architecture.
Hard skills
• JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• ES6, React, Redux, React-Router, Node.js (Gatsby a bonus)
• Styled components (Pattern lab / Storybook)
• AWS (API gateway, Lambda, EC2, Appsync)
• Databases NoSQL and SQL
Soft Skills
• Experience of TDD/BDD using CI tools.
• Understand component based design systems.
• Comfortable speccing and building microservices.
• Previous Experience Demonstrable experience in delivering PWA and native apps using the technologies mentioned above.
• Working understanding of microservice architecture and working with API’s.
