Head of Transformation
Harvey Nash is working exclusively with a FTSE business in the South West that is looking for a Head of Transformation on a permanent basis.
The business in question is a highly successful organisation that has enjoyed rapid growth, profit margins in excess of 20% year on year, and impressive returns for investors. It has an entrepreneurial culture, combining traditional values with a collaborative approach focused on how each individual helps move the business forwards. The CEO has driven a culture of respect whilst ensuring decisions aren’t solely made based on hierarchy, placing a great emphasis on employees’ health and wellbeing. Their strong benefits package and flexible working are clear examples of this ethos in practice.
They have historically adopted a largely decentralised technology model, meaning both systems and processes have evolved locally, leaving large variations in working practices across the globe. Having recognised the need to update its business systems, further strengthen its cyber defences and improve its digital presence and agenda, a programme of work has been implemented to standardise process, technology and working practises across the globe. This transformation is the primary motivation for this business to hire a Head of Transformation.
You will have full accountability for transforming the organisation and driving the aforementioned programme, which consists of:
- ERP
- BI
- CRM
- CPQ
As the Head of Transformation, you will have:
- Experience as a change professional, within a large organisational structure, ideally with multiple divisions, regions or operating companies
- Experience of leading matrix, distributed teams, navigating complexity across multiple functions, business units and/or geographies
- A background in strategic objective setting against a complex group model
- Experience of setting strategy for a complex operating structure, reviewing Target Operating Model, realigning organisation structure where appropriate to ensure teams are fit for purpose and the right people are in the right roles
- Experience of managing executive teams and driving conversations with influence at a strategic level, making change transparent throughout the business
- Experience of overseeing technology transformation; specifically ERP implementation, will be highly advantageous
- Clear understanding through experience of potential pitfalls and risks of ERP implementation projects in order to be able to anticipate and mitigate the risks
- Track record of financial monitoring of project costs and delivering projects within budget
- Experience of delivering cross functional, multinational business process change underpinned by major systems implementation is essential
- Strong evidence of driving technology and business transformation programmes from business case, through delivery, to benefits realisation
- Budgetary responsibility
- Experience in the manufacturing sector, therefore including supply, is mandatory
