Senior Java Developers – Edinburgh
Harvey Nash is delighted to be working with one of the most exciting fintech start-ups to enter the Edinburgh market in recent years to help them grow their Software Engineering team. Our client is disrupting the business to business payments market and in just over 2 years have grown from an idea to a fast paced, modern company with 70 employees across offices in London and Edinburgh. So, if you are a Java Developer who wants to work in a Greenfield environment with no legacy systems this could be the opportunity for you.
About the role:
Based in a modern office in Lochrin Place you will help enhance and develop features for a product that is already extremely highly performing. You will be joining a company that still has a long way to go, in spite of phenomenal early success, and getting in at this stage will give you the chance to have an influence over the scope and technical direction of the product. In addition to delivering high quality code and bringing new ideas to the team we would need you to act as a mentor to the more junior developers.
About you:
Above all we need you to be comfortable with working in a fast paced environment where things can change at the drop of a hat and have a strong background in Java, as well as Spring and Hibernate. If you are coming from an environment where you have helped build a services based platform we want to hear from you.
We are also looking for people who aren’t afraid to voice their opinions if they see a better way things can be done. After all, efficiency is one of the most important aspects of this business. Other technologies we would like you to be able to demonstrate exposure to are Spring Boot and PostgreSQL.
In return:
Our client is committed to paying competitive salaries to attract the best talent available so if you would like to learn more please get in touch with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
