Lead Solutions Architect – £75k – Manchester – Great Benefits
Working within a market leading organisation in Manchester, the Lead Solutions Architect will lead the enterprise wide use of systems, processes, applications, data, tools, infrastructure within the business and to maintain that understanding as the landscape evolves. Working with business analysts, data, infrastructure, application architects and a team of solution architects you will be responsible for defining the future architectural direction of the business.
You will play a pivotal role in the transformation of the business, as they continue to re-shape the business to become more technology led. As they enhance the customers’ experience and find ways to create efficiencies, this role will be instrumental.
Responsibilities;
- With other representatives of the Architecture function, define and maintain the strategic architectural vision.
- Lead project teams to convert business and technical requirements into a technical solution design that meet the project requirements whilst strengthening the long term strategic goals.
- Play a key part in delivery by providing clear direction to the delivery teams and supporting them through the implementation whilst working within an agile environment.
- Work closely with the data architects to ensure information requirements are met in solution design.
- Balance the impact of implementing short term, tactical solutions to problems against delivering strategic solutions.
You will have;
- Extensive hands on experience of architecting and implementing relevant technologies
- Experience of migrating and transforming legacy software solutions to the cloud.
- Critical thinking and the ability to challenge ideas and design approaches in a business that is not primarily an IT business.
- Strong design, analytical and technical aptitude.
- Experience of understanding complex business requirements and working with key business and technology stakeholders.
- Good understanding of multiple architectural design patterns, data integration techniques, SOA and Microservices.
- Experienced and comfortable working within an Agile development environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
