The role

We have an excellent opportunity for a Linux Configuration Analyst with good demonstrable experience working with specialised processes, systems and procedures.

Ultimately, the role will be responsible for providing device, hardware and software configuration, administration and deployment on the Linux platform. The successful applicant will be responsible for the resolution of escalated system and software problems and issues in close collaboration with the wider business.

Key duties include:

• Lead in the configuration of systems and software, determining appropriate on-going support requirements

• Identify and manage HPC & Linux technical incidents and requests

• Lead in planning and implementation of new device, software and system configurations

• Provide technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational and technical procedures

• Provide technical expertise to enable the correct application of software and systems

You will have:

• Previous experience working with one or more of the following Linux distributions - Ubuntu, Debian, Redhat, Centos

• Experience with software installations on Ubuntu machines

• Strong knowledge of High Performance Computing (HPC)

• Experience of developing, implementing and supporting High Performance Computing (HPC) solutions based on high performance interconnects and cluster management systems

• Ability to work independently and handle unforeseen problems.

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills

• A strong interest in technology with a willingness to learn
