Opportunity
The University of Salford is an amazing University that is constantly developing and improving their practices. It is situated within MediaCityUK, a vibrant place to live and work in. It is surrounded by over 80 businesses across the creative and digital sectors, including both the BBC and ITV.
Role
We are looking for a Media Asset Management Administrator who can perform administration tasks for the University's asset management system. The successful candidate will provide operational support relating to the storage and delivery of digital assets that meet the needs of the curriculum. The person should hold the desire to stay ahead of the current technology and be customer focused.
Your Requirements:
- Experience of server and user administration in a technical capacity
- Experience using editing software, such as Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience of procurement processes
- Knowledge of key media management concepts including codecs, ingest, transcoding, rendering, archiving and backup
- Experience of the technical aspects of video and audio post-production
- Hold a degree or equivalent industry experience
- Experience of maintaining records
