Product Manager
Location: Warrington
Salary: Up to £63k + 30% Bonus
A global organisation is on an exciting journey to become of one the first in their field to revolutionise the way they work. They are looking to expand their Product Creation team and bring on a Product Manager with Scrum, Kanban and software experience to assist the improvement of service delivery within the business and facilitate growth within their migration processes.
The primary purpose of the role is to support in the defining of new technology products, services and offerings to meet the core commercial objectives. This will involve interfacing with many areas of the business as well as external parties and internal technology teams to support and develop new propositions and opportunities as well as shaping product roadmaps for existing capabilities.
Your role will be pivotal in the success of the organisation and ideally, you will have previous experience of managing products start to finish, understand the full product lifecycle and scope and manage the development and the product delivery. This is off the shelf with implementation delivery of building new software from scratch
As part of the Product Owner team, you will work within an agile environment, you will buy, build and implement software and hardware solutions to support the business. You will also bridge the divide between the business and the development team, communicate with both group and bring them together to deliver the right solution for their user group.
A previous product manager background is desired, ideally with a good blend of business and technical knowledge and experience in shaping both a product pipeline and commercial proposals and engagements and translating those into outcomes for an agile delivery function.
Duties Include:
- Own and manage a product for the business
- Align Product backlog with strategic roadmap, taking lead from Head of Product, or other Business Owners
- Manage stakeholder and sponsors to align with company and Product Goals
- Gather and specify high level business requirements and work with a team to write user stories
- Prioritise and manage the backlog of change through agile leadership and agile ceremonies
- Work with UX and directly with Customers to ensure a customer centred approach
- Make judgement calls between UX, Business and Tech to ensure the right balance across their Product
- Help create vision and strategy for the Product and Product portfolio of the business
- Facilitate change within the business
- Be the bridge between the customer, business and technology
- Responsible for prioritisation of backlog to ensure alignment to strategic business vision and team objectives
- Ensures user stories meet standards for progression into developmen
- Communicate to senior stakeholders on progress, blockers, risks and successes
- Engender a culture of shared team ownership of objectives
- Challenge and validate justification for change, using a hypothesis, test, implement and learn approach. Ensuring we only work on change we understand.
Your Background:
- Highly motivated, experienced product manager with proven track record of successfully delivering products and services in a commercial environment.
- Minimum of 2 years in a Product Manager position
- Customer focused with proven track record of delivering products or services.
- Outcome focussed, able to proactively prevent and remove blockers and create an environment to succeed.
- Ability to facilitate desired outcomes, prioritise scope and shape value driven propositions and outcomes
