Product Owner – Permanent – Nottingham - £45,000 - £50,000 – SaaS – Energy - Flexible Working Harvey Nash has been exclusively engaged to recruit a Product Owner for an innovative, market-leading software company that provides the platform that powers the world’s leading energy suppliers. Overall Purpose of the Post: As a Product Owner you will own the product backlog and the delivery of all backlog items. You will be responsible for gathering feature requests, continual prioritisation of the backlog, sprint planning and daily interactions with a development squad that will bring your features to life. Responsibilities * Manage the product backlog and sprint planning * Own the prioritisation of the product backlog * Understand complex requirements provided by Product Managers / Project Managers or directly from customers * Articulate ‘why’ we are doing work, ‘what’ it is we are building and ‘when’ it will be completed * Guide the agile software development team by developing scope and defining backlog items (epic/features/user stories) * Solve product related problems to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments * Focus a team of developers, testers and BAs toward the product roadmap * Work in a truly agile way * Partner with product management in order to create a product that fits the company vision * Accountable for the product, ensure the product meets stakeholder expectations. Therefore, we are looking to speak to people with experience of being Product Owners in a complex multi-faceted software environment. You will be energetic and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to create and articulate a clear vision between the backlog items and the business goals. Background: * Experience working is a Product Owner in an agile environment * Ability to breakdown problems and communicate them to a development team. In the form of User Stories or Acceptance Criteria. * Experience of being a Product Owner in a complex, multi-faceted software environment * Ability to build trusted relationships and intelligently question when taking requirements * Understanding of prioritisation, knowing when to delegate * Very familiar with Agile ways of working * Senior stakeholder engagement * Experience working in multi-disciplined, product led teams * Ability to collaborate with developers, product owners and business analysts If you are a strong Product Owner with experience working in complex software environments and you’re looking for a chance to progress your career working for an innovative business driving change through providing market-leading products then please apply within or email your CV to Charlie.Deacon@HarveyNash.com.
