Job Description:
The QA Analyst for AI-Generated Court Transcripts will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of court transcripts generated by AI systems. The role requires keen attention to detail, strong linguistic skills, and a deep understanding of transcription standards to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and reliability. The successful candidate will work closely with both audio data and AI-generated text, identifying errors and inconsistencies, and ensuring that transcripts meet rigorous legal and technical standards.
Main Duties:
- Transcription Quality Review: Analyse and review AI-generated court transcripts to ensure they meet high standards of accuracy, including proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting.
- Audio Comparison: Compare the transcript against the original audio recordings to verify transcription fidelity, ensuring no information is omitted or inaccurately transcribed.
- Error Detection & Correction: Identify and correct inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and omissions, such as misheard words, incorrect phrases, or missing information, to ensure the integrity of the transcript.
- Feedback & Reporting: Provide detailed feedback on identified errors and suggest areas for improvement. Track trends in AI performance, generate reports on accuracy and quality metrics, and collaborate with AI development teams to improve system outcomes.
- Adherence to Legal Standards: Ensure that the transcripts comply with legal standards and are accurate for use in court or legal proceedings.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in refining QA processes, workflows, and tools to ensure ongoing improvements in transcription accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in transcription quality assurance or a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect subtle transcription errors.
- Experience working with legal transcripts or audio recordings (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in audio editing software or tools used for transcript verification.
- Ability to generate clear, concise reports on performance and accuracy metrics.
Desired Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of quality.
- Legal background or experience in the legal field is an advantage.
