Essential Experience:

Required skills and experience:

• Extensive experience working as a Data Engineer or Application Developer
• Expert knowledge in manipulating and joining data in multiple different formats (CSV, JSON, XML, text)
• Expert knowledge in either Python (with Spark and Pandas) or in .NET (VB/C#)
• Good level of knowledge in SQL
• Good level of knowledge in designing data schemas
• Good experience with big data concepts
• Good knowledge in integrating external APIs for data acquisition

Nice to have skills and experience:

• Experience with the Atlassian suite
• Understanding of NoSQL concepts
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS a plus)
• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker)
• Knowledge of data streaming technologies and techniques
• Knowledge of Linux concepts, commands and scripting
• Experience in designing rich data visualisations to communicate complex ideas to data scientists or company leaders
• Experience in data scraping
