Senior JavaScript Developer – Edinburgh
Harvey Nash is on the lookout for a JavaScript Developer who are thinking about making a change and would like to get involved in the development of two genuinely ground-breaking products. Due to the nature of the work the amount of detail we can provide on the actual products is limited, but we can reveal our client’s motto which is to create "New ways to explore and visualise information". Please read on if you would like to find out more.
About the role:
First off, the office location is exceptional. Our client is based in a penthouse office on St Andrew Square with views across Edinburgh. In terms of location, commute and equipment available to employees you couldn’t ask for a better place to work.
In terms of the role itself, you will be working on the development of two products which are still in the R&D phase and therefore not able to go live just yet, but having had a demonstration onsite we were blown away by both and are confident that any developer interested in working with cutting edge technologies would be keen on this role.
The team is small at the moment but is in the process of growing so we would need you to be willing to act as a mentor to more Junior colleagues.
About you:
We are looking for developers who have an interest in the visual side of their work as well as the complexity of their code. If you work on side projects in your spare time or have your own website and portfolio we want to hear from you.
The tech stack our client uses is React, NodeJS, PostGreSQL and ES6 JavaScript, but if you don’t necessarily have exposure to all of these our client is also interested in speaking to developers who have the drive and ambition to pick up new development languages and techniques.
We would also like to speak to you if you have exposure to React Native or Typescript and if you have worked with WebGL then we really want to hear from you as this is a key component for one of the technologies.
In Return:
Our client is paying competitively for these roles and is committed to flexible working so if this sounds like the kind of role you could be interested in please get in touch ASAP with an up to date CV.
