Senior SAP FICO Consultant - London – Up to £78,000 - Innovative brand!
Harvey Nash is partnered with a multinational organisation to manage the permanent recruitment in line with their International SAP Transformation Programme.
The primary purpose of the SAP FICO role is to be the inhouse technical SAP FI/CO expert providing support on Finance and Controlling. The SAP FICO Consultant will additionally take part in analysing new requirements and change requests and provide input to the Finance blueprint and processes within SAP for future waves and releases.
In the role, you will be responsible for the Controlling design and system setup. This includes recommending design changes, changes to CO structures, configuration updates and implementation of new processes and/or functionality

The SAP FICO Consultant will be accountable for:
- Resolving all incidents and requests raised in the Finance and Controlling area as per applicable SLA’s and targets and following defined Service Management Processes.
- Communicate status and update of tickets and issues effectively at all levels within the organizations.
- Analysis of new business requirements and assessment of their practicality and impact.
- Participating in the analysis and delivery of changes as per defined Change processes.
- Input into detailed finance or controlling design solution, including drafting functional specifications for change requests & regional deployments (or implementation of new functionality such as the new Invoice Processing tool).
- Build and configuration of Controlling within SAP including requirements for new deployments, implementation of new functionality or changes to existing processes and setup.
- Test all Finance and Controlling processes within SAP – as per requirements identified within Finance and Controlling blueprint or for new change requests.
- Manage SAP FI/CO Analyst team member.
Knowledge, skills and experience;
- Sound understanding of SAP Finance and Controlling including:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Fixed Assets
- Profit Centre and Cost Centre Accounting
- Internal Order Accounting
- Projects and WBS elements
- Experience in End to End SAP ERP implementations specifically SAP Finance and integration, with knowledge of integration to logistics modules including Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM) and Plant Maintenance (PM).
- Knowledge and understanding of integration to BI tools (SAP BW or other non-SAP BI tools).
- Experience of Invoice management tools would be an advantage.
- Strong financial modelling and metric analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to work and travel within European countries.
- Proficient in English (knowledge of German an advantage).
There could be some European travel required for this role in preparation for SAP Go Lives and during early life support.
