Solutions Architect – Software, Applications – Cheshire - £70-75k + £6k Car Allowance + Bonus
This market leading organisation in Cheshire are embarking on a digital transformation and are therefore recruiting a Solutions Architect to be responsible for the architecture of cutting edge digital software solutions.
To support their expansion towards a web-based platform, the organisation are seeking an experienced and professional individual to lead design and implementation as they evolve the software architecture. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for the application strategy, design and own the enterprise-wide application framework, configure and integrate the appropriate software solutions. You will the set of architectural principles and policies to guide the delivery of all technology-related business change, including drivers of compliance, risk management, business benefit and pragmatism.
You will have a broad background in Application Design and Architecture, understanding the full development stack from user interface to back end services and databases. You will be familiar with the design and implementation of APIs for public and private consumption, the creation of micro-services and the separation of business logic from presentation layers. Working closely with delivery teams throughout the change lifecycle you will ensure, rather than assure, the right outcomes are achieved. You will work closely with the data and infrastructure architects to ensure strategies are implemented into an effective enterprise architecture.
More importantly, you will be pro-active, a good communicator, an excellent team-player and prepared to learn quickly and adapt to new requirements, new technologies and new challenges.
Key Accountabilities
- Complete responsibility for technical input to qualification and business approval meetings, designing larger more complex solutions.
- Provide technical direction and agree the solution architecture.
- Working with business stakeholders and analysts to understand and validate business requirements and objectives.
- Work closely with development team leads and senior developers to guide the evolution of our software towards a scalable, reliable, highly available and maintainable architecture.
- Converting business requirements into effective technical designs underpinned by robust architectural solutions.
- Understanding and effectively utilising the cloud-based technology capabilities.
- Ownership of the integration architecture, working closely with systems integrators to ensure that interfaces are robust and effective.
Your background;
- A Solution or Technical Architect in a complex environment
- Experienced at designing bespoke web-based solutions and integrating with in-house and third party solutions using modern APIs and integration/middleware technology
- Previous experience in software development and still close to technology - .Net, C#, React, Angular, SQL Server
- Ideally experienced working with Enterprise Architects to maintain and evolve Architecture Frameworks; application portfolios, roadmaps, standards, patterns…
- Up to date experience with modern integration platforms and solutions - API Gateways and ESB platforms; e.g. Webmethods, Mule, AWS/Azure…
