The opportunity

Our client, a diverse company with deep capabilities in tech and media is looking for a System Engineer to help them in building world-class digital products. You are expected to work with full autonomy to help deliver end to end features and technical improvements in GCP and AWS, working with technologies like Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, Cloudformation and serverless.

You will be responsible for delivering infrastructure, tools and best practices that will be used by all the other digital teams. You will also take care of building and running internal platform as a service infrastructure on top of AWS and GCP cloud platforms.

What you have

•Good understanding of Amazon AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform products, services, design and architecture principles

•Container automation, management and orchestration: Kubernetes / ECS

•Experience with CI/CD tools. e.g Jenkins

•Practical scripting knowledge of one of: Bash / Python

•Practical experience with Linux systems

•An understanding of and experience with version control systems e.g. Git

•Ability to identify areas where tasks can be automated/streamlined and see this through

•Strong problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills

•Build and running our internal platform as a service on both GCP and AWS

•Continually improve the speed, efficiency, and scalability of the build processes and infrastructure
