Role: Technical Lead / Lead Developer
Location: Nottingham City Centre
Salary: £55k - £70k
The Role
Harvey Nash East Midlands are proud to exclusively support one of the biggest names in the business as they look to transform their online offering into a truly cutting-edge customer experience.
We are building a world class development team to lead this transformation, starting with senior Development Leads who will be responsible for overseeing the work of multiple Development Team Leads, leading by example to instil the right level of code quality and instigate a drive towards best development practice in a truly agile environment.
This is not one to be missed – a truly unique opportunity to lead a huge digital transformation from the get-go. This is a chance to make a real difference, to look back on your work and think "that’s mine, I did that".
Tech-wise we’re sitting right at the bleeding edge. React, Node, Mongo, Azure stack form the basis of the platform designed to drive online engagement, and we need true innovators to come in and drive this forward, championing ideas from the team to deliver the true potential of this project.
What do we need from you?
- We need someone with the clout to take the lead on a project of this size and complexity, and you will need have been a Senior Developer with demonstrable development experience - ideally within a microservices stack.
- A key aspect of this role is the mentoring and development of the development team, from supporting code reviews to championing their ideas – we need this to be second nature to you.
- This is a fast-paced, agile environment, and experience working within an agile delivery environment and leading this through best-practice is a must.
- With a background in full-stack development, you will be excited to work right at the cutting edge of the latest technologies that support microservice development.
- A major bonus would be experience working automated CI/CD pipelines orchestrated using Jenkins.
