Role: Technical Support (Operations) Engineer

Harvey Nash are excited to be working with a specialist software company based in Edinburgh providing digital solutions for the Oil and Energy industry.
The Role:
You will be a key member of the DevOps Team, your primary focus will be day to day operations monitoring/alerting, service desk prioritisation/issue resolution, as well as general troubleshooting across deployed software systems and infrastructure. You will provide a varied mix of customer service and second line support, work closely with engineering and QA teams to improve operational techincal skills, as well as ensuring data integrity and security of infrastructure.
Required experience:
- 3+ years relevant experience.
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to communicate clearly and deal directly with clients.
- Technically astute with knowledge of web application support in a windows environment
- Experience with SQL Server maintenance, analysing and tuning database performance.
- Experience with TCP/IP networking, IPSEC VPN, network security
- Beneficial but not essential: Some experience with CI/CD pipelines / automated deployment, Azure DevOps
