Harvey Nash’s client, a Public Sector organisation based in Glasgow, are recruiting for a Telecoms Technical Lead on a 3 months contract at a day rate of £350. The Telecoms Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the IT Infrastructure for the Estates Programme to ensure its successful delivery.
Assignment Description:
- The Telecoms Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the IT Infrastructure for the Estates Programme to ensure its successful delivery.
- This includes effective and efficient Supplier Management ensuring project milestones are achieved. This role will ensure that a dedicated technical central source with the appropriate technical expertise and leadership is available to drive the operational & technical infrastructure implementations.
- Supplier Management - oversee supplier build activities, making certain that the appointed principle contractor completes all project IT Infrastructure deliverables on time, and to specification.
- Provide daily/weekly reports and review against the project delivery milestones, highlighting any risks to the Estates Project Manager and Head of ICT Operations.
- Ensure all post installation/as-built documents, designs are completed and checked in accordance with the conditions of the project and Project Manager requirements.
- WAN / LAN, Telephony infrastructure implementation, testing and handover to the Estates Project Manager.
Essential Skills:
- Prince 2 Qualified
- Previous project management experience
- Experience of IT Infrastructure implementation within a contact centre environment
- Technical skills in WAN/LAN network architectures and deployment, testing
- Supplier Management experience overseeing supplier build activities
- The Telecoms Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the IT Infrastructure for the Estates Programme to ensure its successful delivery.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of IT Infrastructure implementation within a contact centre environment
- Technical skills in WAN/LAN, Telephony network architectures and deployment, testing
- Supplier Management experience overseeing supplier build activities
This assignment has been determined as inside IR35 and as such will require the working through an umbrella company.
