Desktop Support Engineer - Outside IR35 Available
A Leading Asset Management business are looking to hire a hungry and well-rounded Desktop Support Engineer on an initial 6 month contract.
- The role is an initial 6 month contract (scope to roll) - could also convert to Perm
- £200 -£300 per day - OUTSIDE IR35
- Based in London
- Hybrid working (once to twice a week in the office)
Your key accountabilities
- Liaise with Service Desk, Service Managers, International Technical teams and User Community to provide resolutions and customer support.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
- Set-up and configure new systems and hardware upgrades
- Maintain current environments and software policies
- Ensure Service Level Agreements are met and maintained
- Achieve high quality of service support to the business community
Your skills and experience
- Ideally 3 to 10 years' IT experience, with proven technical support experience
- Solid knowledge of desktop environments Windows 7, MS Office 2010
- Knowledge of Windows 10 and Office365 would be an advantage.
- Good TCP/IP, RAS, SCCM knowledge would be an advantage.

- Understanding Wyse Terminal / Citrix / Virtual Desktops
- Experience supporting mobile technology and mobile applications.
- Knowledge of Ricoh Printers
- Working knowledge of Intranet and Internet applications.
- Good knowledge of voice / network architectures.
- Understanding of TCP/IP protocol, horizontal and vertical cabling structures
- Understanding of WAN/LAN architecture.
- Knowledge of Avaya IP Telephony, Polycom Video Conferencing
- Industry Recognised Qualifications - MCSA Windows 7/10 / MCSE / MOS
- Knowledge of Apple Desktop / Laptop / OSX would be an advantage
- ITIL foundation certificated would be an advantage.
- Able to work under pressure and on tight deadlines and take ownership of issues until completion
