Job Description

  • The role focuses on the adoption of core deliverables across Risk, Finance and Data programmes. The role will oversee delivery / execution across a portfolio of work in partnership with multiple teams, including Technology, Programme Governance, and Business team. Ensuring that the defined programme of work across multiple stakeholders and delivery teams, is delivered on time, and according to regulatory and audit expectations.
  • Experience in Credit Risk, Price Risk and Market Risk and Front Office processes highly desirable.
  • The focus will be to ensure strong control environment and appropriate business processes are fully adopted and relevant artefacts retained to evidence full adoption, with focus on current Data Strategy initiatives. Also helping implement standards for Project Management.
  • Required is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires commercial awareness.
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers
  • Experience in Jira implementation at a strategic level is highly desirable.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple stakeholder engagement across Risk, Finance and Data programmes within a Regulatory committed programme.
  • Organizes new challenges and drive business results.
  • Uses best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit the stakeholders needs and deliver within budget on desired outcomes.
  • Drives end results of the project as a representative of the business.
  • Prepares, maintains, and submits clear and concise activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports.
  • Assesses project risk potentials and discover potential problems before they occur.
  • Applies a proactive approach in routinely tracking the project participant progress against project goals.
  • Instills best practice and standardization within the group across multiple Technology teams.
  • Identifies and where required amends the approach to the context and constraints of each project.
  • Possess the knowledge, skills and experience to be able to recognize when problems surface or potential problems are looming.
  • Articulates problems, bring the right people together to solve problems and know when the problem has been properly addressed and closed.
  • Communicates to all concerned parties project milestones, status updates, as well as any existing or potential customer escalation issues.
  • Owns all management reports on a given engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive project management experience
  • Extensive experience in Project Management and also relevant Business Analysis experience
  • Experience in Capital Markets domain
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) awareness including coverage of range of methodologies including Waterfall and Agile processes.
  • Understanding of the mechanics and life cycle of derivatives products, including Options, Futures, Forwards and Swaps also Securities Financing Transactions (SFT) products an advantage.
  • Understanding of the concepts of Counterparty Credit Risk or Market Risk highly beneficial including Basel III/IV, Credit Value Adjustment (CVA) and any other relevant Risk Regulations and measures.
  • Ability to understand complex System flows including their capabilities and limitations. When required represent flow and Application interactions diagrammatically. Risk Systems experience a distinct advantage.
  • Proven Ability to document requirements at Business and Functional level.
  • Strong communication skills and time management, ability to navigate a complex environment, work with a large group of stakeholders and participate in decision making.
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
  • Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them; clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required.
