Full Stack Engineer (Python/React)
Location: Hybrid, London
Contract Type: 5 days a week, full-time

We're looking for a skilled Software Engineer to support a secure platform used for large-scale data processing and cyber analytics. This is an exciting contract opportunity to contribute to a mission-critical environment, working closely with engineering teams to develop and improve high-volume, high-velocity systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve system issues via proactive monitoring and dashboards
- Design and build critical applications for data analysis and querying
- Optimise system performance through code reviews and refactoring
- Develop new ways of visualising and querying large datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support 1st line operations and maintain platform health
- Document support processes and provide technical guidance where needed
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Python 3 and PySpark
- Hands-on with Elasticsearch, including tuning and data discovery
- Proficient with distributed datasets (HDFS, CEPHFS)
- Frontend development with React, NextJS, MUI
- Familiarity with Scala for data insights and ad hoc queries
- Infrastructure tooling like Ansible and Puppet is a plus
- Background in networking, protocol analysis, or ethernet stacks
- Strong debugging, scripting, and software testing capabilities
