Fidessa Developer - Java/Spring - sought by investment bank based in London - Contract - Hybrid

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customise the Fidessa cash equities order management systems for US and Canadian markets.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions using Fidessa and Java.
- Collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide mentorship to new team members and contribute to risk identification and mitigation.
- Support third-line technical issues as needed.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with the Fidessa trading platform.
- Strong understanding of equities trading.
- Proficiency in Java (including Spring framework) and Python.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of other asset classes in Capital Markets.
- Experience with tools such as GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence.
- Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., SOLACE).
- Exposure to algo containers and tick databases.
