Head of Cybersecurity & Security Operations

Location: Manchester (Hybrid 2-3 days on site)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: up to £90,000 (dependant on experience) + benefits

Harvey Nash is proud to be partnered with an international consumer-goods organisation, who is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Leader to own and evolve its global security strategy. This is the most senior cybersecurity position in the business, responsible for safeguarding enterprise technology, data, and digital assets while shaping a resilient, security-first culture.

The Role

As Head of Cybersecurity you will provide strategic leadership across cybersecurity, security operations, and GRC, ensuring a unified, risk-based approach across all regions. Working closely with senior technology, legal, and risk stakeholders, you will define the enterprise security vision, lead secure-by-design practices, oversee architecture governance, and manage day-to-day cyber-defence operations.

As Head of Cybersecurity your key focus areas will include:

  • Enterprise-wide cyber strategy, roadmap, and assurance
  • Security governance, policy, and risk management
  • Architecture oversight across cloud, identity, endpoint, and networks
  • Incident response leadership and oversight of managed security services
  • Vulnerability management, threat monitoring, and operational performance
  • Cross-functional collaboration and security culture development
  • Cyber-resilience and disaster-recovery planning
  • Leadership and development of a lean cybersecurity and GRC team

About You

  • Previous success within a senior cybersecurity leadership role within a complex, multi-region organisation
  • Strong background spanning governance, security architecture, and operational security
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and enterprise risk management
  • Ability to influence executives and communicate cyber risk clearly
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC (preferred)
