Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the position of Data Privacy Consultant.
- An Initial 3 month contract.
- Starting ASAP.
- Outside of IR35.
- £350 - £380 a day.
- Remote role with some visits onsite (offices throughout the UK).
- Financial Services and or consultancy experience preferred.
Reporting to the Data Privacy Manager, you will provide expert in data protection risk assessment and guidance to support and ensure compliance with data privacy legislation.
What you will be doing:
Review Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), identifying data privacy risks and advising on how the end client can mitigate identified risks.
- Responding to Data Protection queries relating to day -to-day operational challenges.
- Represent the Data Privacy function on project task forces.
- Support completion of Transfer Risk Assessments and contact reviews for international personal data transfers.
Skills
- Working knowledge of UK and European data protection laws and practices including UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
- Awareness of UK Data Use and Access Act and other international data protection laws and practices would be beneficial.
- Experience of assessing and articulating data protection risks to stakeholders.
- Experience assessing Data Protection Impact Assessments and Transfer Risk Assessments.
- Understanding of the types of personal data processing.
- Understanding of key data privacy and information security controls.
