Full Stack Developer

Department: Digital Transformation
Location: London (Hybrid - typically 2 days a week in the office)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

About the Role

A leading financial firm is looking for a Full Stack Developer to help build new digital products that modernise workflows for finance professionals. You'll contribute to a core product suite focused on automation, data processing, and improving analytical insights.

You'll work in a small, collaborative team with access to experienced engineers and data specialists. There's strong scope for progression as the team continues to expand.


About the Team

The team is currently scaling and leads key digital initiatives across the organisation. The culture is relaxed, collaborative, and innovation‑driven. You'll have access to paid training, mentoring and opportunities to attend relevant industry events.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a small development team, contributing to code reviews and merge requests.
  • Work across the full product stack, including:
    • Frontend: React, Next.js
    • Backend: Python/Django APIs
    • Analytics / data‑processing components
  • Own and deliver projects from requirements to deployment.
  • Mentor junior developers.
  • Tackle complex data and UI challenges.

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years' experience as a full stack developer building production systems.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Backend: Python, Django
    • Frontend: JavaScript, React, Next.js
    • Version control: Git
  • Comfortable building data‑heavy applications and integrating external APIs.
  • Confident developing responsive UIs.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of technical decisions.
  • Strong problem‑solving and prioritisation skills.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Azure or Docker.
  • Familiarity with LangChain or RAG‑based AI tools.
  • Experience with pandas for data manipulation.
