Connectivity Delivery Manager - IT Infrastructure
Glasgow 12 month contract (Hybrid, 50% onsite, with occasional UK travel)
Up to £540 p/d (Inside)
Our client is delivering a multi‑year obsolescence programme to modernise connectivity across a Power Station and Gas Storage estate, replacing legacy network and telephony platforms ahead of industry withdrawal deadlines.
This role leads the Connectivity stream, delivering the refresh of LAN, WAN, WLAN and carrier connectivity to establish a modern, resilient and supportable foundation across operational sites. While focused on connectivity, the role works closely with a parallel Telephony stream, coordinating dependencies, sequencing and site impacts (telephony architecture owned separately).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the Connectivity Refresh Programme
- Maintain strong programme controls (RAID, milestones, dependencies, critical path)
- Provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders and site leadership
- Act as primary delivery interface with network suppliers and carriers
- Coordinate LAN/WAN/WLAN and circuit refresh activities across multiple sites
- Plan cutovers, minimise disruption, and ensure transition/rollback plans
- Build trusted relationships with site and operational teams
- Ensure effective handover, documentation and delivery continuity
Skills & Experience
- Senior Delivery Manager / Technical Delivery Lead experience
- Delivery of network or connectivity programmes in regulated or operational environments
- Strong supplier and third‑party management capability
- Confident senior stakeholder engagement
- Strong delivery discipline and governance
- Willingness to travel to UK and Ireland operational sites
Desirable
- Cisco / Meraki enterprise networking experience
- IT / OT delivery coordination
- Experience in safety‑critical or high‑availability environments
