We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex business transformation and organisational change initiatives within the Higher Education sector. This role requires exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, strong project governance expertise, and experience delivering organisational design and operating model change.

Working closely with senior leadership, project sponsors, and business stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and realise their intended business benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex strategic projects from initiation through to implementation.
  • Drive organisational design and business change activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Executive Sponsors, Directors, senior stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and change controls.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating internal resources, subject matter experts, and third-party suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain effective project governance, reporting, and decision-making processes.
  • Produce accurate project reporting and management information for sponsors, steering groups, and senior leadership.
  • Manage project finances, resource allocation, and benefits realisation.
  • Proactively identify and resolve delivery challenges, escalating where appropriate to ensure successful outcomes.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience delivering complex transformation projects within the Higher Education sector.
  • Strong background in organisational design, operating model change, and business transformation.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at Executive and Board level.
  • Extensive experience managing project budgets, resources, risks, and governance.
  • Strong track record of delivering projects within agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, or other recognised project delivery methodologies.
