Harvey Nash are supporting a major financial services organisation as they look to appoint x2 Governance & Enablement Leads to join a large-scale change and transformation function.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PMO or Governance Lead to play a key role across a portfolio of strategic business and technology change initiatives. You'll act as a trusted partner to Delivery Leads, ensuring robust governance, high-quality reporting and effective decision-making across complex programmes.

The Role

You'll be responsible for embedding and operating change governance frameworks across a portfolio of programmes, providing assurance, insight and decision support to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading portfolio governance activities and ensuring adherence to established standards and controls.
  • Acting as the governance lead across a range of business and technology change initiatives.
  • Producing high-quality reporting, dashboards and decision-making materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Facilitating governance forums, steering committees and portfolio reviews.
  • Providing oversight of risks, issues, dependencies, milestones and financial performance.
  • Supporting Delivery Leads by acting as the "eyes and ears" across portfolio activity.
  • Driving consistency in reporting, controls and delivery assurance.
  • Helping teams navigate governance requirements while enabling successful change delivery.

About You

We're keen to speak with experienced PMO and governance professionals who can operate confidently within complex transformation environments.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Significant PMO Lead, Portfolio PMO or Governance experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with senior leaders.
  • Knowledge of portfolio, programme and project governance best practices, ideally including P3O approaches.
  • A strong understanding of risks, controls, assurance and delivery oversight.
  • Previous project or programme management experience.
  • The ability to take a strategic view and understand the bigger picture.
  • Experience within Financial Services or another regulated environment would be highly desirable.

Additional Information

  • Initial contract: 3 months
  • Inside IR35
  • Hybrid working: Typically 1 day per week onsite, potentially less depending on portfolio assignment.
