Birmingham Tech Flix Event

Thursday 19th November, 5.30pm onwards

Key event information

Harvey Nash are delighted to invite you to an exclusive screening of ‘Mirage or Oasis’, our new feature Tech Flix documentary, followed by a panel discussion and networking. Featuring insights from Salesforce, Starbucks and the International Olympic Committee, to name a few, the film explores what stands between AI ambition and measurable impact.

From Ai4 in Las Vegas, across the West Coast epicenter of the AI revolution, and this year's Dreamforce, Harvey Nash Tech Evangelist David Savage interrogates the three barriers we hear more than any other:

  • Sovereignty: a handful of West Coast companies now hold the keys to enterprise AI, data, and geopolitics.
  • Cost: token prices are spiraling, and the "reasoning trap" is quietly bankrupting experimentation.
  • Shadow AI: as AI democratises, ungoverned agents are multiplying faster than anyone can track them.

The film also meets organisations using AI to create meaningful societal change, offering a timely reminder of what is possible when ambition is matched by responsible action.

We look forward to welcoming you to our event, to help discuss: is AI delivering real value, or does the promised return remain just out of reach?
