Engineering Squad Leads – Edinburgh – Multiple Roles Available
Harvey Nash is delighted to have been engaged on a project for one of our central Edinburgh based FinTech clients who are looking to add exceptional engineering leadership talent to their growing team.
The client is an instantly recognisable company who in a few short years have become a staple of the Edinburgh tech scene, as well as undergone a period of international expansion that now sees them operational in three countries. Their area of expertise is the payments sector, creating a platform that allows businesses to transfer funds faster and more freely bringing considerable benefits to companies and their customers.
About the roles:
Our client is made up of Squads of excellent Software Engineers, to lead them they need people who are passionate about bringing the best out of others through ongoing development and leadership.
They are not hands on but do need to be from a technical background as they will be tasked with reviewing code when paired with their teams. Perhaps you are an Engineer who is looking to make the step into management through taking on more coaching/mentoring responsibilities, or perhaps you have already mentored and led smaller projects in your current team and are looking for more responsibility in the form of running the day to day operations of the team.
If so this could be the role for you and we would love to hear from you!
About you:
The ideal candidate will be multi-faceted and be able to display a combination of some of the following characteristics and skills:
- Mentoring/coaching or overall responsibility for a team of Engineers, ideal located across more than one location.
- Be passionate about bringing out the best in people through guidance, feedback and ongoing career development.
- You will be technical and knowledgeable about the day to day running of a team of high performing Software Engineers. Our client uses Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and Angular, hosted on AWS, while this isn’t a hands on role we need people who have used and can understand Java in order to contribute to technical discussion.
- You will have been involved in interviewing and onboarding Engineers, growing teams while maintaining standards of delivery excellence.
In return:
Our client is paying up to £80,000, as well as offering a comprehensive overall compensation package to secure the right people.
The client has an office first working policy with the expectation that you are in 4 days per week at their well-appointed, easily accessible central Edinburgh office.
If the above sounds like it could be of interest please get in touch with an up to date CV!
