Project Description

Onboarding MDIS infrastructure to ServiceNow CMDB.

Task description

The perspective candidate is required to onboard MDIS configuration items to the firms' Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within ServiceNow. The preceding must follow and adhere to the company baseline, policies and best practice as laid out in the guidelines and work instructions. He or she will be responsible for setting up discovery, the dependencies between configuration items, importing the business application portfolio, the support structure as well as ensuring the entities data conforms and compliments the ITSM processes such as Incident, Change, Knowledge and Problem Management.

Experience Required:

• Hands on experience with the ServiceNow platform and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Experience of configuring a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) with stakeholders needs and requirements in mind.
• Set up of ServiceNow discovery (schedules/IP ranges/mid server) for Server/DB/Network and Storage components.
• Working knowledge of the rule’s engine configuration and automation within ServiceNow
• Understanding of core ITSM processes such as Change Management, Incident Management, Knowledge Management, Problem Management.
• Competent with data manipulation and analytics.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset.
