About the role:

Partnered with a Global Legal Services organisation who are seeking a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Specialist on an 18 month FTC basis. In this pivotal role, they will analyze and optimize the full lifecycle costs of products, services, and assets to inform smarter sourcing, budgeting, and investment decisions. The insights will help drive cost transparency, operational efficiency, and long-term value for the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed TCO analysis across goods, services, systems, and assets
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, operations, and supply chain teams to gather and validate cost data
  • Develop TCO models and tools that factor in direct and indirect costs, such as acquisition, maintenance, operations, training, support, and disposal
  • Provide strategic recommendations to reduce total cost while maximizing value
  • Support vendor evaluations, make-buy decisions, and capital investment planning with cost-benefit insights
  • Monitor cost trends and risk factors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Present findings clearly to senior stakeholders and support business case development

Skills/Experience

  • 10 + years experience working in Tech environment with a strong commercial focus.
  • Knowledge managing IT budgets and driving initiatives to reduce IT spend.
  • Experience developing Cost saving/Risk strategy and presenting business cases for investment.
  • Proven track record improving total costs and cost of change through sourcing, asset management, technology/architecture optimisation.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across Tech, Finance, Procurement and Transformation.
  • Experience working In a fast paced environment undergoing significant change.
