User Researcher - Contract Opportunity
Harvey Nash is delighted to be working with a valued public sector client on an exciting User Researcher contract role.
We're looking for a skilled User Researcher to join a multidisciplinary digital team, helping to shape user-centred services aligned with Scottish Government Service Standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a strategic digital transformation programme, working in an agile environment and engaging directly with users to improve service design and delivery.
Key Details
- Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35)
- Duration: 6 months
- Location: Edinburgh - 2 days per week on-site
- Start Date: ASAP
Role Overview
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading user research activities across digital projects
- Creating and socialising user personas, journeys, and site maps
- Producing wireframes, prototypes, and user flows for feedback
- Conducting usability testing and user interviews
- Embedding test-and-learn practices across the organisation
- Collaborating with product, digital, and data teams
- Ensuring alignment with SG Digital Standards
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in agile user research within public sector or similar environments
- Strong understanding of Scottish Government Digital Standards
- Proficiency with design and collaboration tools
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power Platform
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Relevant certifications in research methodologies or Microsoft technologies
