Harvey Nash are delighted to be partnered with an established national organisation based in Manchester growing its IT Projects & Training team and is looking for a Junior IT Project Manager to help deliver meaningful, business-wide technology change. You'll play a visible role in modernising and improving IT services used by 1,500+ colleagues across the organisation.

This isn't just about tracking plans, it's about making change land well, building strong partnerships, and delivering projects that people feel the benefit of.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll take ownership of several small to medium IT projects at the same time - some technical, some business-focused, most a blend of both.

  • Lead projects from initiation through to delivery

  • Keep projects on track for time, quality and budget

  • Produce clear and concise documentation (PIDs, plans, board updates)

  • Identify and manage risks and issues with confidence

  • Run structured procurement exercises

  • Build positive, professional supplier relationships

  • Coordinate internal teams and third-party partners

  • Support sustainability and responsible working initiatives

You'll have support from experienced project professionals, but real accountability from day one.

Role Requirements:

We're keen to hear from people who already have experience supporting or leading IT projects and are ready for more ownership.

You'll likely have:

  • Experience delivering small to medium IT projects involving suppliers and technical teams

  • Exposure to structured methodologies such as PRINCE2

  • Solid technical awareness and understanding of current IT environments

  • A track record of delivering to deadlines and budgets

  • The ability to build strong working relationships across all levels

  • Clear, confident communication skills, able to tailor messages to different audiences

  • Resilience and adaptability when priorities shift

  • A genuine focus on customer service and user experience
