Project Manager - Safety Compliance Improvement
Contract: 12 months
Location: Edinburgh (hybrid working)
Harvey Nash's public sector client is seeking an experienced Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery, from procurement through implementation, go‑live and handover.
- Manage public sector procurement activities, including business case development, tendering, evaluation and contract award.
- Develop and maintain robust project plans aligned to PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Manage suppliers, contracts, budgets, risks, dependencies and programme reporting.
- Work closely with digital architecture, business and technical teams to ensure effective system integration.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business, digital, procurement and external suppliers.
- Lead and motivate the project team, ensuring clear ownership, planning and delivery.
Essential Experience
- Proven delivery of complex IT projects using Waterfall and/or Agile approaches.
- Strong public sector procurement experience, including compliance with statutory procurement regulations.
- Solid grounding in PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Experience managing third‑party suppliers and delivering projects to time, cost and quality.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a resource‑constrained, programme‑led environment.
Desirable
- Experience delivering compliance, safety, asset management or IMS solutions.
- Experience of change, training or communications within transformation programmes.
- Relevant project or programme management qualifications.
