About the Role:
Harvey Nash's Client have multiple requirements for Senior Java Developers, you must hold Active SC Clearance or be confident of eligibility.
Skills and Experience
- Strong, recent experience developing applications using modern Java and Spring Boot. Experience with legacy Java versions is advantageous.
- Experience developing front-end applications. Experience with Thymeleaf and the GOV.UK Design System is desirable.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, including API versioning. Experience with OpenAPI (Swagger) is desirable.
- Experience working with relational databases and data access technologies such as SQL, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate. Oracle database experience is desirable.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit 5 and mocking frameworks.
- Experience writing automated UI regression tests, ideally using Playwright with Java.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions and Helm charts.
- Experience working with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and structured logging using tools such as OpenSearch and Prometheus.
- Experience applying software design principles and design patterns to produce maintainable, scalable applications.
