Agile Delivery Manager - PubSec - Edinburgh/Hybrid - Inside IR35

Day rate - £580

Duration - 6 months

We are seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Manager to support the successful delivery of digital and technology services within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Working closely with Product Managers, delivery teams and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for driving agile delivery, improving team effectiveness and ensuring the successful coordination of complex workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and adapt delivery plans in collaboration with Product Managers, delivery teams and external partners.
  • Manage dependencies across multiple teams, ensuring work is coordinated effectively and delivered to agreed priorities.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and support teams in adopting agile and lean delivery practices.
  • Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and dependencies that may impact delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement, helping teams establish effective and sustainable delivery processes.
  • Coach and mentor team members and stakeholders on agile tools, techniques and ways of working.
  • Coordinate team resources to ensure priority deliverables are achieved while balancing competing demands.
  • Communicate plans, progress and delivery outcomes clearly to a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience working within Agile delivery environments as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Manager or similar role.
  • Strong track record of working with Product Managers, Product Owners and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring teams on Agile and Lean methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies and competing priorities.
  • Experience delivering technology or digital platform projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including communicating complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience planning and coordinating multiple workstreams, projects or programmes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Desirable Experience

  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) and/or Professional Kanban (PK I) certification.
  • Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps or similar delivery management tools.
  • Experience within healthcare, public sector, education or other complex regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and information governance principles.
  • Experience delivering presentations, workshops or large-scale stakeholder engagement sessions.
