<p><strong>Hi, I'm Alan and I'm a Talent Acquisition specialist within IT recruitment at Harvey Nash. </strong></p>
<p>I have a wealth of experience in recruiting for IT roles within the public sector. This ranges from IT project managers, to DevOps/Software Engineers to Solution Architects.</p>
<p>Outside of work, I've always been really active going to the gym, boxing a few times a week, and watching football - an Arsenal fan. However, I've recently become a it's been more gentle strolls and night feeds than squats and deadlifts.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Network Field Engineer - LAN Replacement and Upgrade Project</p><p>12 month contract</p><p>£450 Outside IR35 per day</p><p>Scotland based</p><p> </p><ol><li>Ability to work in partnership with IT colleagues, contract companies and operational colleagues attending multiple sites all over Scotland working nights and if required weekends with partners.</li><li>Good working knowledge of how Cisco Switches work and are installed and configured for layer 2 and 3 workloads over various sizes of sites.</li><li>Working knowledge of cabinet power delivery to network/server rooms using UPS, PDU, ATS and bypasses</li><li>Good working knowledge of best practice approaches to testing cabling, equipment in primary and distribution cabinets.</li><li>The ability to identify the equipment installed on customer premises that relates to switches and structured cabling presentation, often in busy and congested comms rooms and cabinets. Working closely with Data Management teams on governance and security as well as business stakeholders around projects and IT teams to deliver these data pipelines and models effectively into production. This role will focus on python development on the Databricks and Streamlit platforms to deliver operational tools and process efficiencies.</p><p> </p><p>You will:</p><p>Architect, create, improve, and operationalise integrated and reusable data pipelines, tools and processes.
