Hi James, I'm a senior consultant part of the Harvey Nash Birmingham team.
I have over 8 years experience in the technology sector and strong skills in recruitment, business development, account management, community development, events organisation and a tiny bit of public speaking.
I partner with fast growing tech businesses who are scaling their DevOps and Software Engineering functions. I deliver all roles within these specialisms ensuring exceptional technical and cultural fit for my clients and candidates. I'm also proud to help organise and host TechMids, a Birmingham based technology community which includes multiple meet ups and an annual conference attended by over 300 enthusiastic technologists.
Outside of work, I’m very much a people person and enjoy socialising with both friends and colleagues. I enjoy running to beat my own 5km time, it’s like a mental challenge I have with myself. I’ve also recently taken a keen interest in fitness and nutrition with an aim to live a longer and healthier life. I will also never (ever) say no to a game of pool or snooker.
The best piece of advice I’ve received is ‘whether you tell yourself you can or you can’t, you’re probably right.’
