Day Rate: £452
Main Duties:
To provide professional financial support to business leaders, delivering accurate financial analysis, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role supports decision-making and contributes to business performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide financial support and analysis to business units.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and period-end reporting.
* Prepare accruals, adjustments, and validate accounts.
* Ensure compliance with financial governance and controls.
* Conduct financial analysis and identify risks and opportunities.
* Support investment appraisals and cost modelling.
* Engage with senior stakeholders to influence financial decisions.
* Deliver accurate business review information and reporting.
* Build detailed plans to support business planning and budgeting.
* Identify and manage commercial risks.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Part-qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
* Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
* Good understanding of financial control and risk.
* Effective communication and influencing skills.
* Experience in financial planning and reporting.
* Ability to interpret technical accounting regulations into everyday language.
* Demonstrable stakeholder management and partnering experience.
Desirable
* Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW).
* Experience in complex financial environments.
* Understanding of project management principles.
* Degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, or business management.
* Experience with Oracle-based systems and Power BI.
