M365 Engineer - Glasgow - Inside IR35 - Hybrid

Harvey Nash's Public Sector Client are looking to bring in a contract M365 Engineer, you will be the Technical lead for management of Microsoft 365 services in Glow, including Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams, ensuring service delivery aligns with organisational policies, security standards, and user requirements. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business needs and translate them into scalable M365 configurations and supporting service adoption through technical guidance and documentation.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Can communicate with senior, non-technical managers the benefits, risks and strategic operational considerations of IT solutions and their technical design. This includes explaining the impact of any technical decisions on the sustainability of the solution. 
  • Demonstrable experience of the practical use of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including experience of database design, documentation and coding. The ability to apply technical knowledge and skills to monitor and support services and identify areas for improvement to deliver additional value to business users.
  • Familiar with Standards associated with IT practice nationally and internationally and how they should be applied, including demonstrable experience of the practical use of ITIL, Prince 2 or Agile methodologies to support change and to meet customers' needs.
  • A commitment to continual service improvement; you will be willing to challenge established practices, using evidence to deliver a better service to our customers. This will include streamlining processes and reducing costs to ensure you can focus on delivering support for new business critical technologies. 
  • The post holder should have proven analytical, planning, organizational and project management skills, including the ability to balance competing and shifting priorities to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work on own initiative and without close supervision. 
  • The ability to develop and maintain effective collaborative working relationships with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders, with the ability to influence outcomes to deliver value for customers.
