Senior Field Support Officer / Project Engineer
Desktop Support | Network Migrations
9-Month Contract (Perth/Field Based)
£400 p/d (Inside IR35)
Hands-on engineer required to support multi-site network migrations, including switch deployments, cabling, and end-user device setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Repatch/migrate devices to new network switches
- Deliver cabling, patching, and rack installs in live environments
- Validate connectivity and resolve issues post-migration
- Configure PCs/laptops (domain, builds, network settings)
- Provide on-site desktop support during migrations
- Maintain accurate documentation and site records
- Work with project teams, site contacts, and third parties
Skills & Experience
- Field/desktop support or network engineering background
- Strong cabling, patching, and install experience
- Knowledge of network switching (Meraki desirable)
- Windows device configuration in corporate environments
- Able to work independently across multiple sites
- Strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
