A large, nationally recognised organisation is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of technology projects and programmes.
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee a team of project professionals, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard. With responsibility for a project portfolio valued at approximately £5m, this is a key leadership role driving technology-enabled change across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of IT Project Managers
- Govern and manage the delivery of a complex portfolio of IT projects.
- Establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and reporting.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Drive effective project initiation, risk management, change control, and quality assurance.
- Manage third-party supplier relationships and project-related budgets.
About You
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of IT projects and programmes.
- Previous end to end leadership experience managing project managers.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience delivering complex technology change initiatives.
- PRINCE 2 Practitioner certified or equivalent.
