Harvey Nash winner at REC Awards 2022 for the 2nd year running

Harvey Nash won the Best Company to Work for (over 150 employees) category at the Recruitment & Employment Confederation’s 13th annual REC Awards 2022 for a second year in a row.

The REC Awards celebrate the very best in UK recruitment, showcasing the work of brilliant recruiters from across the industry from agency to in-house and from start-ups to multi-nationals.

REC’s role is to drive standards and empower recruiters to be brilliant and the annual REC Awards celebrate those that hit and exceed the standards. In all, 45 individual and 59 company entries were shortlisted across 21 categories. Harvey Nash were delighted to be shortlisted for Diversity Initiative of the year and Best Company to Work for as well as our CEO, Bev White being shortlisted for Business Leader of the year Award.

A selection of our team were delighted to attend the awards ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London with Harvey Nash beating stiff competition to be recognised as the UK’s leading large employer in the whole recruitment sector.

The award recognises companies who put their employees at the heart of their business strategy.
The Best Company to Work for category is aimed at larger recruitment agencies (with over 150 employees) who demonstrate success in terms of people development, employee engagement and recognition with supporting examples of where this has paid dividends.

Judges praised Harvey Nash’s submission on:

  • Vision and values driving organisation’s activities
  • Company’s approach to people development and engagement
  • Employees actively engaging in the development of the business strategy
  • Employee’s benefit package including reward and recognition
  • Innovative employee schemes
  • How employees skills are developed, measured and sustained ensuring performance standards are maintained, and a competitive advantage is retained
  • How we measure employee satisfaction and how this information is used to improve management behaviour and communication

Neil Carberry, Chief Executive of the REC, said:

“Competition for staff in the UK has been a challenge throughout 2022 and skilled recruitment professionals are making a real difference for both the companies and workers they support. In tough times, it is important to celebrate the critical service our recruiters provide to millions of people in the UK every day.

This year’s winners were exceptional, showcasing best in class recruitment at a time when it’s needed more than ever. The nominees should also feel immense pride in what they have achieved. Congratulations to everyone involved!”

Bev White, CEO of Nash Squared, parent company to Harvey Nash commented:

“I am absolutely delighted that Harvey Nash has won this award. One of the values of our Group is ‘hungry’, and having won this award for a second year running it shows we don’t rest on our laurels, and are always striving to do more, for our people and our clients. Another of our values is ‘human’ and whether it’s in our technology solutions businesses like NashTech or Crimson, or talent acquisition businesses like Harvey Nash, people are Nash Squared’s number one focus. We are so pleased to have this prestigious recognition.”

As the only recruitment sector awards hosted and awarded by REC, winning an award is the most impressive recognition we can achieve in the industry.
