Business Analyst - Mobile Apps - Contract | Initial 3 Months | Remote with Occasional Leeds Travel

We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-profile transformation programme, working within a dedicated Mobile Applications team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the enhancement and delivery of customer-facing mobile apps, helping shape functionality, define requirements, and enable successful feature releases within a fast-paced Agile environment.

The Role

You'll work closely with Product Managers, Developers, Delivery Leads, and business stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. The focus will be on supporting the ongoing development of mobile applications, ensuring work is well-defined and ready for Agile delivery squads.

The team is undergoing a significant transformation, evolving its operating model and ways of working to support a more mature Agile delivery environment. As such, you'll play a key role in bridging business and technology teams while helping drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document both high-level and detailed business requirements
  • Define and refine mobile application functionality and user journeys
  • Create and prepare user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery tickets for development teams
  • Work closely with Agile squads to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively
  • Support the planning and delivery of feature releases, ensuring business requirements are translated into valuable customer outcomes
  • Collaborate with Product and Delivery teams to prioritise work and manage the backlog
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to capture requirements and define solutions
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the team's Agile operating model

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within Agile delivery environments
  • Previous experience supporting the development and enhancement of mobile applications.
  • Strong experience working on feature releases, from requirements gathering through to delivery and implementation
  • Comfortable working across the full BA life cycle, including analysis, user stories, backlog refinement, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working within Agile squads and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SAFe principles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience supporting organisational or operating model change programmes would be advantageous
